Kristof Stüven

Kristof Stüven is an experienced sailing coach, educator, and program developer with a strong commitment to growing the sport through inclusion and high-quality coaching. As Sail Better's Regional Para Sailing Head Coach, he leads the development of para sailing initiatives throughout the Caribbean while supporting clubs and national authorities in creating accessible, sustainable sailing programs.

Beyond para sailing, Kristof plays a key role in developing junior instructor pathways, mentoring coaches, and designing structured training programs that create confident sailors and future leaders within the sport. His expertise lies not only in coaching athletes on the water but also in building the systems that allow sailing programs to thrive for years to come.

Kristof believes that every sailor deserves the opportunity to reach their potential, regardless of age, background, or physical ability. His coaching combines technical knowledge, patience, and an encouraging learning environment that empowers athletes and instructors alike.

At Sail Better, Kristof works closely with clubs, coaches, and national sailing organizations to strengthen regional development, expand para sailing opportunities, and create clear pathways from grassroots participation through to competitive sailing.
