Eduardo Marques has spent more than a decade competing at the highest level of international sailing. Representing Portugal in the highly competitive ILCA 7 class, he has raced against the world's best athletes throughout Olympic campaigns, World Championships, European Championships, and World Cup events.
His breakthrough performances include qualifying Portugal for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games through an outstanding result at the 2023 ILCA 7 World Championship, before going on to finish 11th overall at the Olympic Games in Marseille—just one place shy of qualifying for the prestigious Medal Race.
As a coach, Eduardo brings the same professionalism, discipline, and technical excellence that defined his racing career. Having experienced every stage of the Olympic pathway, he understands what it takes to develop sailors from promising youth athletes into world-class competitors.
At Sail Better, Eduardo specializes in high-performance coaching, focusing on boat handling, speed development, race strategy, mental preparation, and performance analysis. His sessions are structured, data-driven, and tailored to each athlete, helping sailors unlock their full potential while enjoying the process of continuous improvement.
